On May 11, the press conference for the 10th Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation Forum & the 2nd China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor Development Forum (hereinafter referred to as the PBG Forum) was held in Nanning. It was learned from the meeting that the current PBG Forum will be held in Nanning on May 24 this year. It will feature richer content, more innovative forms, and more prominent highlights, which will help promote the construction of the China-Singapore Interconnection Southbound Channel, the transformation and upgrading of the PBG Forum, and the construction of the China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor, China-ASEAN Port Cities Cooperation Network, etc.
This year's PBG Forum aims to “Build New International Land and Maritime Trade Routes for a China-ASEAN Community of Shared Future”. In accordance with the requirements of building a new landscape of comprehensive opening-up featuring interaction between land and maritime routes, domestic and international markets and the East and West, the forum will highlight the artery of connectivity between China and ASEAN -- the "Southern Transport Corridor", conduct in-depth discussions on the strategic positioning, objectives and missions, implementation pathways, cooperation areas, and key projects of jointly building the new international land and maritime trade routes facing ASEAN, explore a new model of land and maritime cooperation, and push forward the concrete progress of the “Belt & Road” Initiative.
