Recently, it is learned from Nanning Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics that in December 2020, the consumer price index (CPI) of Nanning increased by 0.4% compared with the previous year, and the index changed from a decline in the previous month to an increase in this month. The prices for 5 categories of goods and services has showed an year-on-year increase while the price of other 3 showed an year-on-year decrease this month among the eight categories of goods and services.
It is understood that food prices increased by 0.8% in December compared with the previous month, driving the overall CPI index to rise by about 0.2%. Among them, in December, compared with the previous month, the price of livestock and meat in Nanning increased by 1.3%; the price of pork increased by 1.2%; the price of vegetables increased by 2.9%; the price of fresh vegetables increased by 3%. The transportation costs increased by 1.4%. In addition, the price of fuel for transportation vehicles in Nanning increased by 5.0% compared with the previous month, in which diesel and gasoline prices increased by 5.8% and 5.3% respectively.
