Recently, it was learned from the Administration of Sport of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region that since the "13th Five-Year Plan", Guangxi has firmly implemented the "Healthy Guangxi" People-benefit Sports Project. In 2017, the per capita sports area of the whole region reached 1.42 square meters, an increase of 17.36% compared with that at the end of the "12th Five-Year Plan", the highest growth rate in 12 years.
With the gradual improvement of sports facilities, the “15-minute Exercise Circle” of Guangxi has benefited more and more people. This year, the Administration of Sport of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has raised 252 million yuan to support the construction of 594 people-benefit sports facilities including 12 comprehensive (public) sports venues, 2 national fitness centers, 7 ethnic traditional sports bases, etc. Meanwhile, Guangxi has also gained the central government's subsidies of 90.18 million yuan for the public sports stadiums to provide free or low-cost admission to the public in 2018, to support 80 large-scale sports venues in the region to be opened for free or at low cost, and to provide exercise venues or fitness training for the masses for free.
