On the morning of January 16, 2012, the National Nanning Economic & Technological Development Area (the Area for short) signed an agreement with Amazon on the E-commerce Logistics Distribution Center Project with an investment of around RMB 600 million yuan at Nanning Wharton International Hotel, which indicated that the operation center of Amazon in Southwest China settled down in Nanning officially.
Amazon is the biggest Internet retailer in the world, and when the E-commerce Logistics Distribution Center Project was completed and reached the target output, it would play a positive role in optimizing the economic structure, fostering leading industries and simulating economic growth in the Area. Also it would play an important role in the agglomeration and development of E-commerce industry in the Area.
